How card points work
Ace, king, queen, jack and ten usually count as 10 points each. Number cards from 2 to 9 carry their face value. Jokers have zero value when used correctly. Cards in valid sequences and sets are not counted against the player.
Worked example
If the unmatched cards are K♠, A♦, 8♣ and 3♥, the raw total is 10 + 10 + 8 + 3 = 31 points. Table-specific drop and invalid-declaration penalties are separate and should be documented on their own pages.
Rule scope: this calculator uses common 13-card Indian Rummy card values and an 80-point cap. Table rules may vary.
